I am currently teaching myself Access for a job that i am going to start in a couple of weeks and I just finished using the book Sams Teach yourself Microsoft Access in 24 Hours, but there are some things in the book that are quite vague that i am not really sure on and i what to make sure that i am correct in this assumptions. I hope someone can clarify some things for me?
Based on my own reasoning and from the book doesn't the find command option find data based on how it is stored, it is the fastest type of search, and finds data based on how it appears?
When i click on a report in the main database window, the main section of a report which also includes the records is the report section or is it something else?
When filtering by selection, does it usually display a subset of records, display only records that contain a field that was selected, and display multiple records if selecting more than one field? If so, why should i use this filtering if there are other types of filtering that i could choose?
In datasheet view, what is the purpose of that triangle-shaped record selector suppose to indicate, does it mean that a record has been saved or something else?
What is the purpose of a Query, is it suppose to display a subset of the table with records that match the criteria of a question? So why should i use a query?
What are the attributes, formats, and other characteristics of an Access object known as? Is it there properties or something else?
Any help in clarifying these question is greatly appreciated.
