need some acceleration/deceleration physics help

can someone remind me of the formulas involved? i just want to move a clip from point "a" to point "b" and speed/slow it down over time
 
This is DHTML but JS closely ressembles ActionScript.

Maybe you can follow the source of the js file on here. It is similar to what you want but a simpler way of creating the effect.


I am however going to think about it with my brother as I want to upgrade a DHML API to have a smooth movement effect instead of a normal slide effect. Gary Haran
 
Yes indeed you cannot download the code directly but you can look at the example stated on the page and download the js files from there.

that's what i mean, all that's there to view are function calls. the .js link is broken.

i'll check those other links
