Need software suggestion-find erased history on websites visited

any suggestions? Had employee that was fired for surfing during office hours-need to pull proof but history is erased. any help would be greatly appreciated. She was let go on the 17th of march0
 
you could look for cookies or the history folder that is in local setting/history. Both are in the users profile

Couple of suggestions.
- If they used XP then do a System Restore.
- Google Data Recovery software and do a quick recover.
- Connect the HD to you running system and download the Bart PE plugin for Data Recovery. There are free Data Recovery software that is quick and easy to setup via Bart that you don't have to install.

Clearing the History does not clear out the contents of the index.dat file, which is what you really want. That can only be done with a third party utility, or by logging in as a different user and deleting the file manually.

Download and install the index.dat file viewer:

 
If the Index.dat has been deleted, you might still have something in any Firewall logs.
