Was a mapper (Haven't written a map since 99)& am now am EDI Business Analyst. I mapped w/ Gentran AS/400 at other company. We have IBM's DI & have just purchased Sterlings GIS product. I can find plenty of projects to keep the EDI programmers busy but need management buy in so we can get security to come around.
I don't know the difference between AS1, AS2, HTTP, etc. Basically I am lost when it comes to communications.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

AS2 - specifies HTTP (hyper-text transfer protocol) as the means of transportation of data.
