I have inherited a Novell 4.11 server from the previous Network Administrator. It has been chugging along, but the upkeep was never the best. It has been running for about 3 years, and now my company wants to know more about the directory structure.

There are two volumes (Operations and Data) With various directory structures on each. I can use just about any tree-listing program to see the directory structure, but we are also trying to clean up permissions. Is there a way to get a listing of directories with their respective rights?

Thanks,

Bindview is the program you want to use for this. Novell does have a way to show the rights, but I don't remember the steps to achieve this.

If you haven't yet solved this, the Novell DOS Prompt command is NLIST. If you just type NLIST at the DOS Prompt, you will see a general command list which you can use to figure out how to display the information you want.
