Okay, basically, I am taking 2 photos and positioning them so it seems as though the 2 people in the photos are kissing. I haven't started yet and was wondering if anyone has any links to any tutorials where I could get help for doing this project as the kissing effect will be quite hard, thanks a bunch.

I don't know of any specific tutorial for what you're looking for, but it sounds like it could be done using several techniques. SPYDERIX has a very comprehensive list of online tutorials -- see faq229-1853

Maybe you could give some idea of what level of expertise you have, or what source images you're working with. For example, are you working with people's profiles or is one person going to obscure the other person? You may need to read up on compositing techniques (layer masks, etc) and if you have CS, there are some useful tools for balancing the color between two images.

Without knowing more about your source images, I would say bring one in as a new layer on top of the other image. Use a layer mask to isolate it, then free transform to match the sizes. Try that to get you started, and feel free to come back with specific questions.

I am intermediately experienced at photoshop but this is the first time I have tried a propper manipulation, because I normally do abstract art.

Well the pictures won't be much of a problem since 1 is of me and the other is of my friend, so I will just take pictures of myself until it matches up good enough.

What do you mean by 'free transform'?

Free Transform" works on selections and layers (except the Background layer). Go to Edit > Free Transform and a box with control points will appear allowing to scale, rotate, add perspective, free distort, etc.

Another tool worth looking at is Filter > Liquify. This will give you more fluid distortions.
