Need permission to access drive thru VPN

I have several PC's on a local Peer to Peer network and have no trouble with file sharing. I have a new remote connected thru a VPN that I can see on the network but cannot access the drive.

I get: "\\name is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Network path not found"

Both PC's running XP Pro. What setting am I missing?
