Need pause in a macro to wait for field to update before SetValue

I have a table that is based on a query. I need this query to requery before I set a value. I have used a Requery before I set the value, but the SetValue beats the completion of the update and gives me a bogus number. Can I make a macro wait for the update of the field to SetValue?? Is there some kind of timer macro function?
