Need opendocument.aspx loading/wait message 1

BOE XI 3.1 SP2 url reporting.
Using opendocument.aspx for rpt.
Tried everything I could think of to have a "Loading.." message before the report comes up. Is there a setting somewhere for this? I tried modifying the html but no luck, and the codebehind file is not available. On long running reports the user stares at a blank screen and wonders what's going on.
