Hi!

I need a decoder library which is able to decode Mpeg 4 livestreams (RTP). It should support some functions for playing and stopping the video and should be in java.

Thanks,
Jan

Ah, the power of google. Seems odd to me how so many people are still unaware of the site....

I read this thread. I have some problems with the IBM Plugin, because several test files (mpeg4) couldn't be played.

Maybe there ist one library that cames out without using JMF?

Thanks so far,
Jan.

I don't think there's much out there appart from JMF.

If you need that, I'd go the IBM way. Here you have an example: atlas.dsv.su.se/~pierre/ media/mp4_applet/mp4_applet_rtsp.html

Cheers,
Dian

Okay ... I've installed the Plugin as instructed in the link Dian told ... I've searched for several mpeg4 Movie on the internet but none of them has worked up to now. Does anybody has a small (and definitly working) mpeg4 video file?!

What can be the problem?!

Thanks,
Jan
