Need more text in a field 1

I am designing a database with MS Access and i need to put an extreme amount of data in this. What i need to know is how do i fit more than 255 characters in one field. It is very important i get a lot of data in each field.

I have been told that this is possible. But i haven't got a clue how.

Can anyone help?

If you use the Memo datatype you can fit 65000 ish characters.
