My agency uses Access 2000 to track our client population, to manage referral information about each client, and to schedule clients for appointments. I have a report set up which will allow the user to specify a date range to see which clients are scheduled within that range. The report contains multiple pieces of information about the client (e.g., first, last name; date of birth; parents name, etc)and about the referral (type of referral, who referred the patient, which clinic site the client will be scheduled for, and which staff members are assigned to see the client). Information for the report comes from 3 different tables.
My scheduling coordinator would like a more visually friendly report, which is in a monthly or weekly calendar format. This would allow her at a glance to see which clients have been scheduled on which days and help her quickly determine if there were appointment slots available for a particular day. Each filled appointment "slot" would include many of the same details as my original, more traditional text report as noted above, such as client name, dob, clinic site, etc.
Is there some way to create a visual calendar in Access that will summarize client appointment information? Or is there sofware which can be purchased for a reasonable price which can be utilized by Access to do the same thing (I know a little about coding, but am not a coding wiz!)
thanks
