My 5000+ 2 story house (built in 2006) has CAT5 wiring throughout it. There are ethernet jacks and phone jacks around the house. I have my office set up downstairs, with 3 computers, networked together with a D-Link router. The 3 computers in the office are connected to the router. The modem we have from AT&T is the SpeedStream 4100. We have the highest DSL speed available and love it.
We have a junction box on the other side of the house for phone and cable.

My question is, how do I get all the jacks in the house to have internet access? The house is too big for wireless, we want to be hard-wired with great service.

Thanks. Jennifer

I suggest you hire someone locally to set this up for you.

Out of one hole of the router to a switch. From the other holes in the switch you patchcord to the patch panel ethernet holes.
Your switch will need to be at the patch panel.

You may want to consider moving your dsl modem and router to the same location as your patch panel and using another switch in the office to fan out to your 3 computers. This will save you having to run another cat5.

This assuming that I've read between the lines correctly.
