need installation of solaris 8 help step by step

I have 60 gb hard drive. c has 2000 pro and d has 2000 server. e has
fat partition and i want to install solaris 8. i have cd and tried to boot
from cd but no luck. my cd rom is bootable. please guide me step by
step. i will appreciate it.

check your cdrom and make the PIN are default to 4 & 2 which makes cdrom a target 6, i.e. sd6,0

reboot machine

before it comes up normally

do a [ STOP A ] check your keyboard... it's on there

the type [ set-defaults ] and hit the enter/return key

now type [ boot cdrom ] a hit enter/return kry

Hi,

Did you check BIOS boot sequence? Check it if the first boot device is is F: or whatever your CD drive letter is?
