Thanks for your reply, just need to know the basics. I have experance of Nortel, Lucent switches so far. the problem is that there is no information on the Aspect like type of switches avaiable and basic programming side of things. Also I need to find out about Application Bridge and Connect server for CTI third party conections and what the differances are ??.
I have not seen the switch yet, it on a customers site. will be having access to it tommorow on customer site.
We have a CTI server which is connected to the Aspect switch connecting throught a middleware called Event Bridge. This middle where (Event Bridge) is now obsolete and needs to be replaced with a newer version called connect server. What my problem is that i need to figure out, if the new middleware will work with our CTI product ??. I read some notes that the new middleware has its own CTI server is built in. All this is a bit new to me since this the first time I have come up against a Aspect I am not sure how to begin my investigation.
Just curious how your experience has been with Aspect's contact server? Have you began implementation of the new product? Are you going to use Aspect CTI's solution or stick with what you already have in production?
I have had a lot of experience with Contact Server. The way you connect to it and the way that you connect to app bridge is quite a bit different. I am developing a universal adapter so that other cti products can connect to Contact Server just like they did the App/Event Bridge before. If you need any info let me know databit@databit101.com
