Need information on configuration management for BO

Hi,

We need to setup two environments which share common components (universe and reports), one for support and the other development. We would like to make frequest releases to production from Support environment (fortnightly) and the frequency of releases from development will be less (once in 2 months). Can someone guide me how to go about the version control in this situation? Both the environments will touch the same components. Is there any tool or best practice that will make the code merging easier?

You would have to buy a 3rd party version control tool. There are 2 good ones for BO.
