Need information how to connect BO enterprise 5.7.1 to mySQL db

Hi,
We have a customer who using BO enterprise 5.7.1 and would like to be able to connect BO enterprise 5.7.1 to our MySql db using ODBC. Can anybody lead me to the right dirrection?
Liks to the step by step dir or just explain it how?

I think you need to download MySQL ODBC drivers first and then create a DSN to the specific database.
In BO create a new connection for MySQL and use this in the Universe. However, you may first want to find out if MySQL is supported anyway. Another issue may be with specific functions , as ODBC itself only supports a limited set..

I am still trying to find BO v5 Installation instructions. But so far was unsuccessful. Installation should include step by step ODBC installation instruction.

You don't need install instructions. Just run the installer. I couldn't be easier.

Then the Designer manual will tell you how to create an connection.

MySQL is considered a Generic ODBC driver and will have some limitations. BO didn't officially support MySQL until XI, I think.
