The problem is something is changing my favorites. What happens is that a favorite works at one time and then maybe the next it does not work. I will get an error: The target "" of this internet shortcut is not valid.
When I check the properties of favorite there is only a General tab and no Web Document tab that shows a URL. Something is changing it. I can make a new favorite for that site and it will work fine.
This error is not limited to one site or one type of site.
So I guess what I need to do is see somehow who or what is changing the favorites.
I have done complete virus, tracker, and spyware scan and it is clean.
I am using XP Pro SP2.
