Hello.

I recently installed a Realtek based 8139 network card on a A500 server running on HP-UX 11.0.

ioscan commands shows that the device is UNCLAIMED.

The manufacturer only provides drivers for Linux,
Unixware 7.2.x, Solaris 7, 8, 9 and 10
Beta rtls driver (V1.20) for Sun Solaris Express users.
FreeBSD
Slackware 8.0 (kernel 2.2.19 and 2.4.5)
SCO Unix 5.0.X.

Please help me find a suitable driver.

Thank you.

Hi HalComps.

My server is running on HP-UX 11.0 unix operating system.

The hyper link you provided is for Windows machines.

Appreciate your effort even though if it didn't help me.

Thks.

JBA, have u tried HP's ITRC forums since they are mostly specific to HP9000/HP-UX issues. You might be able to get more "hits" for your problem through this avenue.

I went to HP ITRC forum as suggested.

My post can be found here:

Looks like HP-UX 11.0 doesnt have any driver for this network card.

I will end my search since the driver doesnt exist.

Thank you itsp1965 for your useful advise.

I also like to thank the others who have posted their suggestions.
