I recently purchased a new graphics card only to find out my p3 doesnt have an agp slot. I had an amd motherboard with an agp slot so i decided to switch boards and processors. I conected them all up and get a blank screen. I have no idea what to do from this point btw its an 800mhz athlon processor and k7 amd motherboard. graphics card is a 3d phantom 3800 pro. i tried puting old board back in and installing drivers for card but it wont install without the card being present.

There are too many differences between these mother boards to just switch them. If want to switch them, the best chance you have to keep everything, will be to reinstall the os over what's there.

smah is right, your windows installation is configured for the old Pentium setup and by swopping out the motherboard everything has changed, you may have to swop back in order to back up and save valuble files, then swop back again in order to reformat and setup windows on the new board.
Windows XP can sometimes manage to reconfigure after a major hardware change but this is never advisable as there are often problems soon after that won't go away, clean installing is the way to go everytime. Martin Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.
