I support a java based program, although I am not a programmer, I need to understand this problem. when some of the users try to start the applet they get a "JAVA LANG ERROR" How does this occur and why.

Thanks

First, check to make sure Java is enabled in their brpwsers security settings (although that doesn't sound like the right error message for that problem).

Then check to make sure their browser's JVM (Java Virtual Machine) is the most current version. You can do this by going to the website of the browser manufacturer and downloading their most recent version.

Also try posting in the Java forum, as Java and Javascript are not the same language! Rob Marriott
