Need Help!!!

I have sav client installed on a computer I recently upgraded to Windows XP pro from Win 98. After booting up XP pro it told me to re-install SAV client for Windows 2000/XP. Well I did what XP asked, I tried to uninstall and re-install SAV client. In doing so, it said it could not find this file SYMANT~1.MS1. I even tried to re-install again and it just stops in the middle and does nothing. Can anyone help me in getting rid of SAV and getting a clean install. Thanks
