I've installed RedHat Linux v6.0 (yeah, I know...) on a W98 machine (dual boot mode) that has a 15" LCD monitor. Tis machine is going to be used as a training tool for new employees. All went well with the install except that when the Linux GUI starts, the screen resolution is way too big - don't know what it is but it's definately less than 640x480!

When I rerun the X configurator, what screen or monitor type should I use for a 15" LCD monitor capable of 1024x768 resolution?

Thanks for any help...

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

Get maximum resolution 1024x768 (pick your favorite choice) and then choices 9 and 2 (can't remember what they are off the top of my head, but I think those ought to work) for frequencies.

Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam.
