Ok...Im hoping you guys/girls can help me out here.

I have 3 Dell PowerEdge 2650's and 1 2550, problem I am having is that 1 2650 and the 2550 are screwing up hard. They are both getting the Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error. I have looked at just about all the info that i can find on this "error" but to no avail. I have rebuilt the all the 2650's numerous times to try and get them to work, with 2 successes, one running Win2000 Server, and the other running XP. I had to put XP on one cause it would not stay up for more than 30 sec in Windows. XP fixed that. The other 2(2650 and 2550) will not work, Im talking just like the one I fixed with XP, 30sec, then blue screen. Anyone ever had this problem with servers before? Im a Network Security guy, and I really need these machines up.

Sorry for the long post, but I really need some info. Thanks,

Stephen

Have you called Dell server support on this? If I had a server that wouldn't stay up for more than a few seconds I'd be screaming at them :)

I've never come across this problem before though so can't be of much help.

Is it all Dell stuff inside the servers or have you added 3rd party hardware? If you have then take it out and see if there's still a problem.

What error code do you get with the bugcheck? This page lists a few possibilities depending on the exact code
I'd also pull out all the cards and reseat them - we've had a couple of Dell servers in the past where a card inside wasn't seated properly that caused us some problems.

Are the newest bios updates fashed to the machines ?

Have you swapped out the drive cables ?

Do you have the machines on UPSs, try without the UPSs, nominal line voltage OK ?
