Our coporate office uses CS1000 and I need to find out how to forward a VM direclty to an external mailbox.

I follow the steps below and I am able to send the message to the phone# but if the call is not being answered the message don't get delivered. I don't want the other party to answer the phone and wanted to directly deliver the message to the mail box. It's an Avaya system on the other side and the last 4 digit of the phone system is the actual mail box. Is there a sequence in teh destination mailbox number to get the VM directly? There was some who used to forward the message this way and he is no longer with the company and also his set it being outted! Any help would be appreciated.

EX: Internal VM :4444

FORWARD A MESSAGE

> 5: record introduction + #
> 79: send

Thanks,

On the remote system you will need to find out what the Express Messaging number is. this will give you direct access to the mail boxes to leave a message rather than calling the extension. My guess is this is how the last guy did it, but you will have to test to be sure.
