Need help with Styles

I am new to AI. I have a ton of really cool styles in Photoshop (gel, glass, chrome, etc) I would like to use on AI objects. Where can I find similar styles for AI?

Here are other solutions I tried without success...

Copying the styles into the AI style folder
- Didn't work. Diff file extension. Won't read

Recreating the style in AI
- Nightmare! Impossible. AI has little control of effects

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

AI is not PS. There is a vast difference between the ways these apps manage and display graphics. It's not as intuitive like painting in photoshop, mainly because you dont have to really understand PS to get it to work. AI is vector based and PS is raster based. AI does however have alot of cool styles that come with it so check in your extras folder on the install CD.
