I've been reading the book AIX 5L Administration and it's a great book and I get alot out of it. But I don't think it's the right tool for studying for AIX cert. I took an old practice test off the internet for like AIX 4.* and I failed miserably. I need some kind of guide that focuses on what is specifically tested. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

Mail me at mike dot r dot nixon at gmail dot com and I'll send you the questions and answers for tests 062, 180 & 237 (still looking for 222) the four exams you need to pass to get your cate.

Anyone else is welcome to drop me a mail if they too require the info.

Hey mike, I didn't get the email yet....can you send it again? it's darin dot hensley at gmail dot com. Thank you!!!!

Got it! Thank you!

After reading those questions it seems to me that the book I have been reading called AIX Administration is mostly useless. It doesn't cover hardly any of those questions.

Where should I start in preparing for AIX cert? Should I start with the IBM Certified Specialist - pSeries AIX System Administration certification? And if so, is the red book enough to prepare me for that cert?

What amount of experience do you have already?

Oh ya, I have total faith in those questions. The problem is, I don't have the slightest idea what those questions are talking about. I read half of the book AIX Administration and I am really disappointed in that book. But in reality, that book never claimed to prepare someone for AIX certs. So I am back to square one. I would kinda like to have some knowledge to those questions as I go through them.

Hi Mike and Darin,

I just sent you an email. Could y'all send me the questions and answers too? My email address is jfclarkjr at yahoo dot com.

Thanks!

John
