Need help with script and time date stamp

I'd like to use Procomm Plus to send a text command to poll data from a serial device at a constant interval (i.e 30 seconds). I want to capture the data response from the device into a text file and date / time stamp each record that is received. I would appreciate any feedback on how this can be done or any examples to go by. Thanks.

 
Another ASPECT user sent me a script which demonstrates most of the functionality you are interested in, you can find it here:


You would need to change the pause 60 to pause 30 and add the command you want to send to the remote system to the script, but otherwise I think it is mostly what you are looking for.
