Hi everyone, i just bought a cisco 2501 router on ebay and i think i might have gotten ripped off. when i connect the router via hyper terminal i get the following error:

-----------------------------------------------------------
System Bootstrap, Version 5.2(5), RELEASE SOFTWARE
Copyright (c) 1986-1994 by cisco Systems
2500 processor with 1024 Kbytes of main memory
Local Timeout (control reg=0x118) Error, address: 0x2130002 at 0x10F73BE (PC)

-----------------------------------------------------------

This error keeps repeating itself down the screen and does not go beyond this point. I know the cable i am using is working correctly because i use it to connect to my other cisco routers just fine. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Take the memory out then put it back. If you still have problem swap the memory with know working memory.

I tried switching both sets of RAM with my other known working 2501 routers and still no luck. Could it be a mother board problem ? I get a green ok light when i power the unit up... Thanks again to anyone who can help.
