need help with "group by" 1

I have a "Products Shipped" report, with ea line item listing invoice #, date, invoice dollars, etc.
It is grouped by product type. The groups are coming out in alpha order (only choices are ascending/descending).
I need to customize the order of the groups. What's the best way to do this?

In recent versions of SCR, your options for sorting are ascending, descending, original, and specified. Malcolm
