need help with query and list

hey i have 2 lists where u can add to one or subtract from another by javascript the left list needs to on submit check the values in it against the table and delete whats there if its been taken out or the easiest would be when you add to it simply delete all the instances in the table with the dr's id and add all new how would i do this in code?
