Need help with permanent fatal error message

Maybe not a sendmail issue, but I am very confused by what the email server a.com is complaining about or what the actual error was.

I think something is wrong with the a.com server. There are two error codes here. The first one 4.4.1 means that the was no answer from the host. The final status error 4.4.7 is just saying it timed out (gave up trying to connect.
