I have a cas in the lan and an edge server in the dmz.

Smtp flows through the edge to the cas. Dns name = mail.mydomain.com

My Owa is set to dns name =
Will the edge relay to the cas owa access or do I have to have a different wan ip and dns name for my owa to work?

I am using Sonicwall as firewall.

Thanks

The Edge server has nothing to do with client access. It's a transport server.

You need a public IP, and need to forward port 443 to the CAS server in your internal network. It's highly recommended you do so with a reverse proxy such as TMG.

ok, let's see if i understood.

I have a public ip going to my Edge server for smtp = mail.mydomain.com with port 25 redirected to the edge server

So I need another another public ip for my cas server with dns name = with 443 redirectd to the cas?

I am correct?

Sniper, I am still confused.

You are saying:
Use one public ip for both servers.

1- Edge server and direct to it port 25
2- Cas server and direct to it 443.

This way smtp will flow to the edge server and owa at will be directed to my cas server.

Is that it?

I will check with my firewall team and let you know. Thanks

Sniper. Thanks for your help. That did it.
I tested yesterday and email/Owa/Active Sync went through just fine. I noticed one thing I couldn't open owa emails to respond. I tried on two laptops with no luck. I wonder what could have caused it.
