I put in a cd with a data file in txt. and went through the process of defining the fields. then it asked if I wanted to save and I did save as "import specifications" thinking that this would allow me to use the import specifications to convert another raw cd in the future. At that point I don't know what happened because it did not further process the cd that I was working on and I can not find the "import specifications" to try to use it as a template on the uncomverted ce. I am not that good with access and will appreciate any help with this. Thanks!

Open your database.
Select File -> Get External Data -> Import
Use that window to select the file that you want to import from and press the Import button.
The next window that will appear has an Advanced button at the bottom, press it.
The next window that appears will have a Specs button that you should be able to press and it *should* have yor saved spec listed.
Select your spec and press Open.

Hope that helps... Terry M. Hoey
