Need help with including a software demonstration on a website

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask this but I am exploring the possibility of having a software demonstration on our website and thought I'd start here. I have seen something similar on another site - they called it a webinar. The site visitor would click a link and it would take you to a page where you were required to download a player (and I guess the choice would be mine on this). This demonstration had two parts - one was what I would call a powerpoint presentation with a voice component and then they actually had a demonstration of their software where they captured the user making menu choices (and showing the drop down menus)and showed the program at work. This also had a person speaking as they went through it.

I don't have any ideas on how to do this and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
