I need some inputs from you,I have a 3-stage import process:

(1) Copy the data into NJStar & save it as GB-Text
(2) Import the data into SQL server
(3) Update the dataset from the imported data using the predefined column names.

SQL Server won't import Unicode text correctly, which is why I have to go through (1) & (2). If you have any info about another way of getting the data into MS SQL Server without exporting through NJStar I'd be more than grateful.

I've always thought with SQL2000 you can import Unicode, it's just question of right definitions.

Guys ?

Phase 3: remember that dts does not have kind of UPSERT functionality. Only way to do it (update directly) is with Data Driven Query Task. Or, as always, load into a staging table and update from there.
