Need help with Dreamweaver CS3 and Tables

Hi Everyone
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 and
I hope that somebody can tell me
how to insert a table into a background table.
The background table has am JPG image in it that is not tiled.
I am using the background table as my website page, a background that
will be repeated in my index.html page as well as every .html page that I create for my website.
Can this be done?

Aka "nested tables" in case you need to google for more info.

In essence, you click inside the table cell and choose Insert-Table. Positioning of the newly inserted table will be dictated by cell properties of the one in the background.

But...is it too late not use tables and do divs and css?

You should really look into tableless web design tables are for data divs are for layouts...

You don't need to create a table to hold the background image in place, right? Go to ...
Modify>
Page Properties>
Background Image>
No Repeat
...and your image will appear behind your tabled site.

If you do this in a template, your background image will be sure not to "drift" from page to page.
