Need help with config

I cant find the right group for this, but any help would be appriciated. Thank you in advance for replys.

I have a AIR-AP1231G-A-K9 with IOS ver 12.3(8)JEA3 . I am trying to set up a workgroup bridge or anything that I can join these two AP's together to join two physically seperate networks.

I have a full rack in my garage with VMware on it and my gateway is upstairs in an office. Ethernet over power doesnt work for me because of the distance. I dont have anything fished in the walls for networking, my only option is wireless. Since I have these two AP's, may as well put them to use.

I have followed this guide

but when I get to the end on the second AP, it displays that the radio is down and I cant seem to get it turned on..

The radio on the AP will not come up until you have associated the security information and SSID with each other.
