Need help with bit strings!!!

I need to generate two random subsets A and B of a set with n elements(e.g..{1,3,5,9,..1023}),using BIT STRINGS to find
the complement of A, and the union, intersection, difference, symetric difference of A and B.

Appreciate any help.
