Need help with Apache installation

I am installing using Apache on my Linux box for the first time. can someone refer me to some good material, whether books,websites, or previous posts, to get my web server up and running.

Also i have a residential gateway (DI-604). What are some of the tricky things i need to look out for. (if any)

I see no one has answered your post.

There's a wealth of information on this subject. Just go to google and type 'apache linux install' or something similar. Lots of stuff will come up.
