Need help with a script

Here is the situation I am currently dealing with -

I am working with a DB2 connect software that has INI file on the Windows server. The System admins go to these servers and make changes to the INI file.

Can you help me with a script that will take the before snapshot of the INI file and e-mail me the file, also that will provide information as to when the file was modified and by whom.

This is something you would have to do server-side using ASP, PHP or some other server-side language.

A lot depends on the operating system for what data is available on the file but I doubt you are going to be able to tell who made the changes, only when the last change was made.

At my age I still learn something new every day, but I forget two others.

If your modification script is in a password protected directory, you can get the username that logged into that directory.
