Need help with 3rd part SIP phone programming on SV8500

I'm trying to set up a 3rd party SIP phone on the SV8500. I do have "standard SIP license". I used the ASPO command but this is where is first goes wrong. This command only takes max 5-digit STN numbers, yet all my extensions are 6-digit on the system. So fine, I put in some bogus 5-digit number, then I went on to ASPTN and "mapped" (?) the bogus 5-digit stn from ASPO to a new 6-digit extension. The system took that, but that doesn't mean I did that right...
In that command I also checked off the "No Digest Authentication" as suggested by the manual, but it doesn't explain what it is or what it means/does.
Anyways. After these, I configured the actual phone, but it's not able to register with the system, and any attempt to make a call comes back with a SIP error message 403, which has something to do incorrect username and/or password.
Anybody has any idea what I'm doing wrong?
