Big switch - Redundant, 3 control node clustered SX2K, running LW 33.3, has Expanded pers, flex dims, 38 peripheral cabinets, 5 DSU nodes.
I've built a 7-member page group which seems to work just fine internally and over MSDN CEPT between cluster nodes. The problem is I need to be able to use it by calling into it over a PRI trunk. Conveniently, Mitel says this particular feature is broken in 33.3 and won't be fixed until 33.4 later this summer.
The call into the page group must originate over the PRI. There's no slack to be cut there. It absolutely has to come in via PRI. I was wondering if anyone in this group can think of a possible workaround? I've tried using a system speedcall in 1 machine and sending it to the "group" on another machine. Still the PRI caller (entering the network over PRI 1 machine upstream) cannot activate it. I've also tried speed-calling an ONS set to the group activation number (FAC included), again unsuccessfully. Yes, even tried a custom route in ARS. I did get it to work over a DISA trunk, but the caller who needs to activate the page group cannot use the DISA trunks because they cannot dial any digits on the trunk. The D-I-D call on a dial-in PRI trunk has to automatically activate the page group when that D-I-D nbr is dialed.
Of course I could wait for the bugfix from Mitel, but scheduled software release dates are seldom met and specific bugs are sometimes pushed back. I need to find a workaround for this or I need to tell the customer something they can take to the bank in the way of a promised "will fix by" date.
Ideas appreciated.
