Hello all,

I'm trying to use a seagate STT20000A (tapestor travan 20) drive to work in win2k (sp4 + all patches) to work with TSM 5.1.5.

In it's initial config it shows the drive on the system as
mt1.0.0.0, i check the box to add to the device list, hit next and I get the error
"Failed to issue command to the server. Click OK to see why."

I click ok and get the following error

tape device \\.\tape0 does show up in the device information list

The drive does work since I've been able to use the seagate software that came with the drive.

Thanks for any help

You must define a library first, even if the drive is stand-alone. My advice is not to use the wizard but go through the steps via the web gui or command line.
