Need help understanding the layers of CCR licensing

We have a site that is installing CCR on a Release 7 system which already has preferred edition.

My understanding is you are required to get Advanced.

That's ok. Where I need clarification is with what CCR will do with just Advanced as opposed to Advanced and Supervisor and Agent Licenses.

For example, if they just want basic SMCR type of info, searchable fields, etc for any or all users, will just Advanced and the one Super license do it? What does CCR do with just Advanced vs CCR with Supers and Agent licenses?

If you have only the Advanced edition you will have only one Supervisor license which basically is stupid as it is worthless without any agent.
It is like having a floor manager without any staff.
Then you say you want SMDR typ of info for any or all users, that is exactly NOT what you get with CCR, CCR is meant for performance measurement and management.
Besides that, if you have 20 users you need 20 agent licenses which cost you approx $ 7500 on top of the $ 2500 you pay for a Advanced license and then you don't get what you want.
