hey
There is some usefull software that i would like to modify.
there s just one problem: i don t know the language it's scripted in which is Delphi :<
the few upgrades i would like to do, but that i can't are:
-i would like the software to detect my ROUTER outgoing IP.
-i would like the software to be able to automatically update the web address every 5, 10 or 15 minutes.
-i would like to have an option that let you insert few words after the IP address.
exemple: in some blank field i want to be able to add a folder name so that it updates the web address like this : (let's say the folder name is "folder") -i would like if possible to have many account. because this software wouldn t let me enter many account. but if there is some account system....that changes the IP of all account at the same time...it would be great...
thanx for your attention.anyhelp will be great

Hi there,

Speaking for myself, I'm more than happy to help you learn about Delphi, but I baulk at spending time modifying a fairly hefty program without needing to use it myself. I'm sure you can understand.

Having the source code, and good understanding of how the program already operates, and some features you want to add or change is a perfectly good way to get stuck into learning Delphi. What languages do you know already? if you're proficient in C++ then you should have little trouble in adapting to Delphi. If you're good with VB, then you'll need to get your head around OOP to begin with as it's a little different from the way VBA thinks.

it s exactly what i thought when i posted this thread.
it s been already few days since i m into Delphi programming.
thanks for your time anywya :D
