I need help setting up a new Linksys WAP54G (ver 2) Wireless-G Access Point to my existing Wireless-B Broadband Router BEFW11S4 (ver 4).
When I connect directly (via Enet cable) to my router for
setup via the Web Utility, it only shows the WAP54G is only
sending out packets and not receiving any network packets, even though I have setup the WAP54G to receive only B-network packets.
The following is an output sample from my WAP54G via the
Web Utility ->
Firmware Version: v2.07, Apr 08, 2004
AP Name: Linksys WAP54G
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LAN MAC Address: 00:0F:66:77:32:30
Configuration Type Automatic Configuration - DHCP
IP Address 192.168.1.102
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wireless MAC Address: 00:0F:66:77:32:30
SSID: linksys
Mode: B-Only
Channel: 6
Wireless Security: Disable
Send Good Packets: 3697
Dropped Packets: 0
Recv Good Packets: 0
Dropped Packets: 0
Note: In wireless transmission, some dropped packets occurrence is normal.
I would like to setup my WAP54G and verify that the device is working correctly and then use it as a remote wireless
AP connected to an XBox.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprecaited.
Thank-you.......John
