I'm using an old version of Mas90 - 3.1 and trying to set-up an ODBC connection via Providex 3.22. I've installed the Providex driver, but am not sure how to set-up the ODBC under Control Panel. I have the following in the "Providex 32-bit ODBC setup" window:

Data Source Name: MAS90
Description: ODBC for MAS90
Database Directory:
Definition File:
Prefix:
Company Code: I entered my company code here.
Default User ID: I entered my User ID here.
Password: I entered my password here.

I'm not sure what to enter in the Database Directory, Definition File or Prefix fields. Underneath the Database Directory field, it states "this directory should contain PROVIDEX.DDF" I can't find this on my computer.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Where are your mas 90 data files installed? Perhaps on a server somewhere? That's where you should look for that file.

The data files are in c:\mas90 (local installation). But the PROVIDEX.DDF is not there. Is there somewhere to download it?

Thanks!

hmm, so you have the client and the application running on one machine? is it possible that only the client is installed?

I am using Mas90 on my Dell machine at home and there is no server involved. So, the client and the application should be installed. Right??? The version I am using was installed on my office network and is licensed for 5 users. However, I did not install the network disk at home. I installed LM, AP, AR, GL, FA and the setup disks. Should I install the network disk?
