OK I am setting up a linked server through Enterprise Manager.
I am on a SQL 2000 server and trying to LINK to a SQL 2000 Analysis Server.
So I name it, choose the right provider, configure some provider options, give it a datasource server name and lastly a catalog which I figure equates to the Analysis Database I want read from.
I have some questions on Linked Server security context. What will be the behavior of each option?
Not be Made
Be made without using a security context
Be made using the logins current security context
Be made using this security context:
The reason why I ask is because I have been playing with the different options but keep getting this error
I am getting this error when attempting to OpenQuery a OLAP linked server.
Server: Msg 7416, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Access to the remote server is denied because no login-mapping exists.
