I just received data back from a data recovery company and they put our recovered data on a scsi drive. hen i plug this drive into our server (one of the empty slots) it doesn't register in the OS. I think I have to enable it on the SCSI controller, but doing this will force me to create a new logical drive (i believe).

Basically I need to find a way to mount this scsi drive and get the recovered data off of it. Any ideas? Adeptec 29160lp controller.

lsgtechuser,

(since you've not been back to check on your question in some time anyway, thought I'd give it a shot):

1. If you've not done so already, and still are having issues, I'd suggest contacting the data recovery company - surely being their line of business, they'll know the best/easiest ways to use the disk to get your data to where you want it.

2. Otherwise, if you want to do it on your own without losing anything, you may can find a scsi to USB or such adapter, from which you could copy the files, then do whatever with the scsi hard drive.
